Bovi Reveals Why He Distance Himself From Basketmouth

Nigerian actor and comedian Bovi Ugboma, commonly known as Bovi, has explained why he his Basketmouth close friend Bright Okpocha are no longer close friends.
Bovi revealed this in a recent interview with media personality Chude Jidenowo, in which he claimed that he opted to prioritize himself and his business over Basketmouth, which led to a gap in their relationship.
He continued by saying that although they are still on good terms and that their relationship has its boundaries, the “phase” they once had has altered now that they both have children and additional responsibilities.
“You know, but there was this camaraderie, this symbiotic friendship, but he was more visible because he’s a brand, you put Basketmouth’s name on anything and it’s going,” he remarked.
“So I believe that over the years, my goal was to develop into a significant brand as well, and there is a point where brands mature to the point where there is insufficient space for more people to join. At this point, you basically have to find your path.
“I made the decision, you know what, it’s time to build your brand and give attention to you right now. I will therefore accept accountability for my own choice. Skirmishes will always occur since we are human; after all, it’s commonplace in popular culture.
“We were immature, restless, and other things. So I just realized that, as I said earlier, pushing yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself. You might wait an eternity if you wait for someone to say, “Come, let me take you.”
