Lagos LP Gov Candidate: We Won’t Accept The Result

Gbadebo Rhodes, a candidate for governor for the Labour Party in Lagos State, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of working with the party in power, the All Progressives Congress, to rig the election in favor of his rivals. This accusation comes in the wake of alleged irregularities during the state’s presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday and has vowed that they are not going to accept the states results because they have the original results.

This was said by Rhodes on Arise News on Monday.

He also admitted that the state’s ruling party had victimized LP members and voters during the elections, which had been marked by violence.

The candidate for governor claimed that some party members are currently hiding while others were assaulted during the elections.

His words: “In Surulere, we won there, INEC is saying that our candidate was on the ballot. All sorts of irregularities are going on with INEC right now and it is extremely shocking but we are not going to accept these results. We have all our original polling unit results.”
